Hi - Cindy Carothers here.

I come from a solo-practitioner background (although it wasn’t called that back then). Dad was a lawyer in private practice, and we lived the entrepreneurial income roller-coaster – and it was unsettling. One month would be expansive, with new bikes or whole new wardrobes, and then the next there would be no money to replace an outgrown pair of shoes.
In retrospect, I now know that the inconsistencies and parental mood swings had to do with cash flow and the stress that comes from living with an uneven income, but as kids, we just stayed quiet and adapted.
Fast forward in life, to where my education and work experience was in engineering and marketing. My roles in corporate as a sales engineer, project manager or division management have been as a bridge to translate requirements and options to create understanding between the customer and the technical people and to develop win-win solutions.
I know what it is like to maneuver a business around family – I have a child with special issues, I was a caregiver as my mom aged and passed, I started a business with my spouse. I’ve had to pivot or start over a couple of times.
I’ve always loved reading – it was an escape as a child to a world where Nancy Drew always figured things out and saved the day. I continue to admire tremendously those fiction authors who create new worlds and non-fiction authors who show us how to change our own world.
Now I bring my interests and experiences together to help non-fiction authors bridge the gaps between themselves and their readers & clients (also known as marketing) and also to develop a steady income that supports the lifestyle they want.
As a mom to five and gramma to eight, I value the flexibility, time and money to travel to visit and spoil my family (while enjoying it myself).
